I am writing in response to issues concerning DHS determination of supportive services in the Food Stamps and MaineCare programs. I’ve met on dozens of occasions with DHS representatives at the Ellsworth office. It is troubling how badly the program is managed and the level of inaccuracies. I do not receive any support any longer though my income has not changed over the years unfortunately. There has been a, perhaps coincidental, change in policy and staff since Gov. Le Page took office. If these issues are within your interest and efforts I would be interested in sharing my experiences and thoughts.
